Jordan MiddletonTime: 08:00 pm DescriptionJordan Middleton returns to Primal Brewery. “There are hints of Tom Petty, Gregg Allman and Steve Earle and others, but Middleton remains his own individual artist…” – Michael Buffalo Smith/Kudzo Magazine Issue 24 “Music has always felt natural to me. I’ve always known this is what I wanted to do,” says songwriter Jordan Middleton. “I grew up watching my dad on stage and have always felt drawn to performing and songwriting.” Jordan’s dad is musician Joe Middleton, whose rock ensembles Seaboard and Idlewilde South, enjoyed regional success in the 80s and early 90s. The elder Middleton gave his son a small acoustic guitar and Jordan toyed with it but never really gravitated to the instrument until middle school. The small Fender guitar of his childhood was traded for his dad’s Takemine. Jordan began to demonstrate a true gift of writing catchy chord progressions. He started crafting original songs; his thoughtful, memorable lyrics found an anchor in the small town Southern roots of Waxhaw NC where he grew up. Jordan enlisted high school pals Hal Quincy Rape III (bass) Tommy Hill (guitar) and Aaron Thome (drums)and new member Mike Bader (guitar) to form Jordan Middleton and The Low End. The band released their 5 song EP on January 12. Jordan’s voice gets compared to Chris Stapleton and Steve Earle. His music is edgy, soul searching, steeped in southern charm and rich in story. Songs are built around Jordan’s acoustic guitar, voice, and his penchant to spin a story and engage listeners. “I’ve always known in my soul that music was what I wanted to do,” says Jordan. “I have to give it my best shot and not spend the rest of my life wondering what if.” “If it’s in your blood, you have to see it through,” adds his dad, Joe. “I’m really proud of the writer and performer Jordan has become.” | Apr 14 • Steve Brown Solo

Shiloh HillTime: 08:00 pm DescriptionLayering traditional folk instruments over a rock band rhythm section, Shiloh Hill brings a smooth and infectious energy to the scene. The dance-worthy grooves mingle with hometown banjo, turning the stage into a front porch, where front man Nick Hofstetter and his wife Mamie weave stories in harmony. Their winsome, family-band style ensures great fun and even better friends. "Wildflower" is the title of their newest album, which finds its breezy folk-pop ditties splashed with colorful accents of brass and glockenspiel. Shiloh Hill just recently returned to their home state of North Carolina from their month-long album release tour promoting their debut album. blob:https://www.facebook.com/3b96c0b6-fba6-445f-b68b-0733f2efbdb7

Grand Ole UproarTime: 08:00 pm DescriptionGrand Ole Uproar makes their first appearance to Primal Brewery! Here's what Tom Netherland of the Hearld Courier said about them.... "A good natured riot this way comes from Greensboro, N.C....armed with Fender Telecasters, the Grand Ole Uproar hearken to the wilder days and ways of Waylon Jennings and his fellow band of renegades. Songs including “One Horse Blues” and “Clumsy Tongue” bespeak a raucous band with considerable musical chops. Splices of steel guitar coincide with Fenders and fun for a sound that rocks the country as in days of old renewed. Grand Ole Uproar … indeed." https://youtu.be/QBBDhKTunuo
